Bring the dog.
All three of our houses welcome dogs, and one in five of our stays has one along. $80 for the first dog, $50 for each additional, up to three (one at House of Funk).
House of Kuna
Yucca Valley, near Joshua Tree · Up to 3 dogs
2.5 acres of boulders to explore, and the open desert all around. The land isn't fenced, and coyotes and bobcats live here too, so keep your dog with you outside and never leave them out alone.
Inside Joshua Tree National Park, dogs can go on roads and in campgrounds, but not on trails. Take them to Pioneertown Mountains Preserve or the Noah Purifoy museum instead: both welcome leashed dogs.
“Peaceful, private, dog friendly, very clean and so many wonderful spaces to explore on the property.”
House of Funk
Palm Springs · 1 dog
One dog is welcome at our bungalow for two. Dogs stay out of the pool and the hot tub.
Palm Springs quiet hours apply to dogs as well: 10 pm to 8 am.
“This spot was so much fun for a weekend trip with our pup! The whole place is stylish and fun, & we were spotting neat new details the entire time.”
House of Lemons
Woodland Hills, Los Angeles · Up to 3 dogs
A fenced yard with room to run, a covered patio to nap under, and the Santa Monica Mountains trails one block away.
It works for long stays too, with a washer and dryer and a home office in the house. One guest stayed three months with three dogs.
“We were able to bring our three dogs who loved the yard, walkable neighborhood, and the nearby hiking.”
